North Middlesex Hospital

The Helen Rollason Cancer Care Centre at the North Middlesex Hospital in Edmonton, London opened in 2004

It caters for the diverse population in the area and is used as an integral part of the Hospital’s Oncology Unit. Housing three treatment rooms, it is situated alongside the Hospital’s new Radiotherapy Reception Area.

A relaxing lounge area enables clients and their supporters to sit in comfort while they await their treatment or talk to other patients and supporters.

The centre offers the following complementary therapies:

Counselling - an opportunity to explore feelings and emotions in a confidential relationship with someone outside of your family and friends
Aromatherapy - use of essential oils in massage, inhalation and scented baths to enhance relaxation and relieve tension
Reflexology - a form of foot massage to reduce symptoms of pain and sickness
Bach Flower Remedies - diluted flower essences taken orally to reduce anxiety and promote emotional balance
